We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, subscribe to our service, fill in a form on this website, or contact us for support. This may include your name, email address, phone number, billing information, and business details.

When you use the Service, we also collect information automatically: the pages and screens you view, what you click, errors you run into, how long pages take to load, your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address.

2. Information About a Shop's Consignors and Customers

Shops use ConsignHQ to manage their own consignors and customers. When a shop enters or syncs that information, or when a consignor or shopper uses a portal or online store run for that shop, we handle it on the shop's behalf and under the shop's instructions. The shop decides what it collects and how it uses it. If you are a consignor or a shopper, contact the shop directly about your information. We will help the shop respond to your request.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only with service providers who work on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.

5. Session Recording and Error Monitoring

In the ConsignHQ app that shops use to run their store, we record how the app is used: the screens shown, where people click, and any errors. A recording shows the screen much as it appeared, including names, items, prices and balances, so we can see exactly what went wrong when something breaks and fix it without asking you to describe it.

Some information is hidden in your browser before anything is sent, so it is never recorded: anything typed into a form field (including passwords and card numbers), card and payment screens, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, and gift card codes.

Recordings are kept for 30 days and are seen only by our team. We do not record sessions on this website, on the online stores, or in the consignor portals.

When an error happens, we log technical details (what failed, on which screen, and which account and shop were signed in) so we can fix it.

6. Data Security and Storage

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never store full card numbers; card payments are handled by our payment processors.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States and may be accessed by our service providers for operational purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. After account termination, we will retain your data for up to 90 days to allow for account recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted unless we are required by law to retain it longer.

Transaction records and billing information may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting regulations. Session recordings are deleted after 30 days.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and measure how the Service is used. Google Analytics and PostHog each store an identifier in your browser so we can tell one visit from the next. We use them for analytics and error diagnosis, not for advertising.

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Service, such as signing in, need them to work. To opt out of interest-based advertising generally, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page at www.aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative at www.networkadvertising.org/choices.

11. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@consignhq.com and we will delete such information.
